Setting Up Kwieb for Non-Dutch Speaking Parents
When parents are not fluent in Dutch, it can sometimes lead to communication challenges. Fortunately, there's Kwieb! With Kwieb's built-in translation feature, you can communicate in virtually any language.
Getting Started with Kwieb
This simple step-by-step guide helps you assist non-Dutch speaking parents with installing and registering for Kwieb.
Step 1: Download the App
Parents can download the app from the App Store by searching for Ziber Kwieb.
Alternatively, they can use the web version: kwieb.ziber.eu
Step 2: Register an Account
The app will automatically open in the default language of the parent's phone. This means Kwieb may appear in a different language.
To register a new account:
Tap the grey button at the bottom: Register Account
Enter the following details:
Name
Email address
Password
Confirm password
Agree to the terms and privacy policy
Tap the green Register button to complete the process
Step 3: Link a Child to the App
To connect their child:
Enter the code provided by the school
Enter the child’s date of birth
Step 4: Change Language Settings
At any time, parents can change the language via:
Tap their profile icon (top left)
Select Language under the Language Preference section
Step 5: Kwieb’s Built-In Translation Feature
When the school sends a message, it is automatically translated into the parent’s selected language. The parent reads the message in their own language and can also view the original message if needed.
