Setting Up Kwieb for Non-Dutch Speaking Parents

When parents are not fluent in Dutch, it can sometimes lead to communication challenges. Fortunately, there's Kwieb! With Kwieb's built-in translation feature, you can communicate in virtually any language.

Getting Started with Kwieb

This simple step-by-step guide helps you assist non-Dutch speaking parents with installing and registering for Kwieb.

Step 1: Download the App

Parents can download the app from the App Store by searching for Ziber Kwieb.

Alternatively, they can use the web version: kwieb.ziber.eu

Step 2: Register an Account

The app will automatically open in the default language of the parent's phone. This means Kwieb may appear in a different language.

To register a new account:

  • Tap the grey button at the bottom: Register Account

  • Enter the following details:

    • Name

    • Email address

    • Password

    • Confirm password

  • Agree to the terms and privacy policy

  • Tap the green Register button to complete the process

Step 3: Link a Child to the App

To connect their child:

  • Enter the code provided by the school

  • Enter the child’s date of birth

Step 4: Change Language Settings

At any time, parents can change the language via:

  • Tap their profile icon (top left)

  • Select Language under the Language Preference section

Step 5: Kwieb’s Built-In Translation Feature

When the school sends a message, it is automatically translated into the parent’s selected language. The parent reads the message in their own language and can also view the original message if needed.
