Inviting Parents to the Ziber Parent App via Student Management

This article explains how school administration can invite parents to the Ziber Kwieb parent app. Invitations can be managed manually via Student Management or automatically through a data link (e.g., Esis or Parnassys).

Accessing Student Management

From Desktop

  • Click the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  • Select Student Management.

From App (iOS/Android)

  • Tap the menu icon at the bottom.

  • Go to More... > Settings > Student Management.

Filtering Students

To view students not yet linked to a parent:

  • Click the ‘Not linked/invited’ button.

  • A filtered list of these students will appear.

  • You can further filter by group or search by name.

  • Click Reset to clear the filters.

Inviting Parents

Via Email

  • Open the student’s profile.

  • Click New invitation.

  • Enter the parent’s email address.

  • Click Send.

🔄 Repeat for each parent (max. 4 per student).

Note: Each parent receives a unique code per child, which is required to register in the Kwieb app.

In the Parent’s Language

  • In the student profile, scroll to New invitations.

  • Select the desired language before sending.

  • After sending, you will see in which language the invitation was sent.

By Sharing a Code

  • Go to the student’s profile.

  • Click Share code.

  • Share the code via WhatsApp or other apps (mobile only).

By Printed Letter

  • Scroll to the bottom of the student’s profile.

  • Click Print letter.

  • You can print the invitation in the parent’s selected language.


Checking Invitation Status

  • In the student list, see how many parents are linked per student.

  • In the profile, you can view:

    • Names and email addresses of linked parents.

    • Whether any invitations are still pending.


Unlinking Parents

  • Open the student’s profile.

  • Click Unlink next to the parent’s name.

  • The parent will no longer see the student in Kwieb.


Retracting an Invitation

  • If the invitation hasn't been accepted yet, you can click Retract invitation in the student profile.

  • The parent will no longer be able to register using the emailed code.


What Does a Parent Need to Register?

  • The Ziber Kwieb app

  • The child’s date of birth

  • A child enrolled at your school, center, or childcare

  • The unique student code (included in the invitation)


Best Practices

  • Check if a parent is already linked before sending a new invitation.

  • Use language options to improve accessibility for non-Dutch-speaking parents.

  • Refer parents to ouders.ziber.nl for support and guidance.
