Manual Synchronization with Your LAS

If you use an automatic integration with your LAS (e.g., Esis or Parnassys), you can easily initiate a data synchronization from the Ziber Dashboard to update your Ziber environment with the latest data from your LAS.

Overview

The full synchronization process consists of three steps:

  1. Start/Schedule the synchronization

  2. Review proposed changes

  3. Apply the changes


Step 1 – Start or Schedule the Synchronization

To start a synchronization with your LAS:

  • Go to your Ziber Dashboard.

  • Under the section "Synchronization", click the "New" button.

You will also see the date of the last successful import and a link to view the import history.

Missing the Synchronization section?

If you don’t see the "Synchronization" block, you probably do not have the necessary permissions to start an import. These permissions are tied to the roles “Administration” or “Management”.

Select the School Year

Depending on your LAS, you may be prompted to select a school year. Make your selection and click "Schedule".

Synchronization Progress

  • ESIS: Click the "refresh" icon (circular arrow) to check whether the data has been downloaded.

  • Parnassys: Unfortunately, Parnassys does not support immediate processing. Your synchronization request will be processed after 17:00. Once the data is downloaded, you will receive a notification in Ziber Team, and you can proceed to Step 2.


Step 2 – Review Proposed Changes

Once Step 1 is complete and the data has been downloaded from your LAS:

  • You’ll receive a notification in Ziber Team.

  • The status in the Synchronization section will show "Ready for import".

View the Proposed Changes

  • Click on the "Ready for import" status.

  • A table will appear showing all proposed changes.

You can click on the individual numbers in the table to view detailed information about each proposed change.

If all the changes are correct, proceed to Step 3.

Not sure about some of the changes?

  • Click "Cancel" to stop the import.

  • Make corrections in your LAS, then return to Step 1 to restart the process.

Step 3 – Apply the Changes

When you’re satisfied with the proposed changes:

  • Click the "Apply" button.

  • A confirmation message will appear.

Click "OK" to apply the changes. The system will begin writing the data into the Ziber platform.

Once the process is completed successfully, the Synchronization history will show a status indicating a successful synchronization.
