Activating the Parnassys Data Integration

This article explains how to synchronize basic information from Parnassys with the Ziber platform. There are two ways to do this: manually or via an automatic integration.

Manual Sync

You can manually export student and group data from Parnassys using an EDEXML file. This file can then be imported into Ziber Team, allowing Ziber Education to be populated with your school’s student data.

Important: Any time a significant change is made in Parnassys—such as a new student, a student moving to another group, or a change in teaching staff—you’ll need to repeat the export and import process to ensure your data remains up to date in Ziber Education.

Automatic Integration

Prefer an automated process? Ziber offers a secure and seamless integration with Parnassys, developed in collaboration with Topicus (the company behind Parnassys). This removes the need for manual file handling and makes synchronization as easy as clicking a button.

Steps to Activate the Integration

Step 1 – Extend Your Subscription with the Data Integration Module

At the bottom of this article, you’ll find the subscription extension form required to enable the Parnassys integration for your Ziber Education account. Complete and sign the form, then email it to support@ziber.nl to initiate activation.

Tip: Don’t forget to complete the second page of the form titled "DECLARATION FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS – DATA ACCESS VIA PARNASSYS".

Step 2 – Activate the Integration in Parnassys

After submitting the form, activate the integration within Parnassys by following these steps:

In Parnassys, go to Beheer (Administration) > Koppelingen (Integrations).
If you do not see the “Koppelingen” option, you may not have access rights. Contact your administrator.
Locate and activate the Ziber Education integration.

Step 3 – Use the Data Integration in Ziber Team

Once the integration is active on both sides, you can begin synchronizing data directly from Ziber Team. If you have the administration or management role, a Synchronize button will appear on the Ziber Dashboard.

What Data Is Transferred?

The Processor Agreement outlines exactly which data is shared from Parnassys with Ziber. This includes the minimum information required to operate the Ziber platform, such as:

Student names
Date of birth
Group assignments
School team names
Class group structure
