Editing or Deleting a Group in Ziber Team

Groups in Ziber Team can be adjusted at any time. You can update the group name, members, or even delete a group entirely if it's no longer needed.

Step-by-Step: Edit a Group

1. Go to the Groups Overview

  • Open the Ziber Team app or visit team.ziber.eu

  • Navigate to Settings > Groups

2. Select the Group

  • Tap on the group you want to edit

3. Make Your Changes

You can:

  • Change the group name

  • Update the group image

  • Add or remove students

  • Add or remove team members

4. Save Changes

  • Tap Save to apply your updates

✏️ All updates take effect immediately for linked parents and team members.

Step-by-Step: Delete a Group

⚠️ Only work groups can be deleted manually. Class groups and the school group cannot be deleted.

1. Open the Group

  • Go to Settings > Groups

  • Select the group you wish to remove

2. Tap Delete Group

  • Confirm the deletion

  • The group will be permanently removed from your team environment

🗑 Messages previously sent to this group remain visible in the parents’ timeline.

Permissions

Only users with the Communication Manager role can edit or delete groups.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review your groups to keep them up to date

  • Use clear names and keep group compositions accurate

  • Avoid accidental deletion by archiving group names when temporarily inactive
