What Types of Groups Are There in Ziber Team?
In Ziber Team, groups are used to organize children so school team members can easily share updates with the right parents in the Kwieb app. When you publish messages, activities, polls, or photo albums to a group, all parents of the children in that group will see the information in Kwieb.
Two Types of Groups
Ziber Team supports two types of groups:
Import Groups
Manual Groups
Import Groups
Import Groups are linked to your Student Information System (SIS)—for example, Esis or Parnassys. These groups cannot be edited directly in Ziber Team. Group names, students, and associated teachers are all managed in your SIS and synchronized with Ziber Team.
If you want to make changes to an Import Group:
Make the changes in your SIS
Then synchronize the data with Ziber Team
You can sync manually using an EDEXML file or automatically via one of our integrations.
Manual Groups
Manual Groups are created and managed directly in Ziber Team. You can add multiple students and school team members to these groups.
When you publish content to a Manual Group:
Parents of the children in the group receive the information in Kwieb
Team members assigned to the group receive a notification
All team members in the group can manage it collaboratively
💡 Tip: Use Manual Groups for special setups like a gifted class (plusklas), to easily keep parents informed about specific programs.
💡 Tip: You can find your groups in Ziber Team > Groups.
